I decided I needed to expand my horizons and decided to read this little fic by one of my favorite authors. She takes us into the beginnings of Alice & Bella’s relationship, and through default, Edward & Jasper’s as well.

Bella meets Alice a little club in Salt Lake City, Utah, where the dancing leads to a little something more. But if Bella’s always the one time lover, what happens when Alice rocks her world? Lots of lady smut, eventually the boys get to play too and it turns into paralleling love stories.

There are some interesting themes through the fic, a lot of smut and very little angst. Although the one gripe I could make with this fic is that everything moves a little too fast for me, there is character development but personally, I like a little more in-depth developing. But the pacing seems to go a little too fast for my personal tastes.

There isn’t any real angst, a few hiccups along the way but it’s a great read for anyone who loves a little Bellice or Edsper in their life!

This story was one of my first forays into non-canon couples. And I loved every minute of it. We start out with Alice, scholarship student at the prestigious St. Olaf’s Academy. She encounters Rosalie who in turns introduces her to the lifestyle that comes with money.

There is sex. There is money. And there is drama.

I love this fic, I love the non canon pairings that are involved. I love the character developments that FoG weaves through her tale. These are not your typical “we’re bored rich kids so let’s shake things up” story. The POVs switch between Alice & Rosalie as we’re taken into the life that is being a sophomore at St. Olaf’s.

There are a few taboo topics that are touched on, none of these characters are what you’re used to in the Twiverse, so be prepared to have your assumptions thrown aside in 2 chapters.

I don’t know how to sum it up better than how the author describes her writing on her ff.net profile:

In my world there are no shopaholic pixies, no sparkly peens, and no babies. Everyone falls flat on their face if they trip over their own two feet. The f-word is used excessively, and canon is a word that refers to either a) Pachebel or b) weaponry. People will screw, sometimes (who am I kidding?) most times not with the person they do in the books. Emmett will never bellow. Bella will never cook. Carlisle will be hot—just on principle.

Can you handle it?

Edward is a surgeon who recently lost a patient due to negligence. Jasper is Bella’s therapist who has an unconventional treatment he’s willing to try with Edward to pull him out of the downward spiral of depression. Dom/Sub, AH, AU. This is a dark fic.

This fic. Oh this fic. I am going to straight up warn you now; this fic is not for the faint of heart. It is a roller coaster ride into the dark world of pain and the culture of dom/sub/BDSM. This fic is seriously rated M for Mature; read if you dare - but don’t say I didn’t warn you.

That being said, this is one fic that I go back to every few months. It begins with the capture and subsequent enslaving of Jasper, FBI agent, as he tries to recover a missing teen. What happens next is something that I don’t think anyone but the author could have predicted.

Then, cut to Edward and Bella; their lives rocked by an unrelated event and seeking the help of a psychologist to right their world again. As therapy progresses; Jasper’s unconventional method begin to help Edward’s depression but at what cost? And what is gained? 

Bella is almost a little insufferable, but she is written like her book character; self sacrificing without thinking about the consequences completely. But really, you can’t fault her feelings once you’ve read through.

There is so much I could say about this fic, but I don’t want to spoil it. But the authors write so beautifully, their language makes the story realistic and completely engaging. You don’t feel like you’re reading, it’s like you’re transported into that world with them.

• Multiple Partners
• Dom/Sub Culture
• Some non-consent
• A lot of swearing
• Oh, sex - just lots and lots.

I promise you though, if you stick this out, through to the end - you will NOT be disappointed with what happens. And just remember, when you think you know what’s about to happen - you don’t.
